Senior Installation Technician
Do you have a solid 5 years’ experience in the Integrated Security Systems installations? You will have worked with HD CCTV cameras, networking, NVRs, Access Systems, including Kantech, Keyscan, Intrusion Alarm systems with DSC, GSM, Alarm.Com equipment Do you have the background and skills to lead our Installation Team on large and small commercial projects. Can you read and decipher blueprints?

Senior Alarm Technician
NAP is a progressive, fast-growing Integrated Security Solutions company in York region looking for Senior Installation Technicians. This is a permanent full-time position, offering competitive wages, extended health benefits, cell phone and company vehicle. Normal hours of work are 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, with rotational on-call for 24/7 service.
- The purpose of this position is to install, test and program security systems, including installation of cable and conduit when required.
- This position may also (on occasion) be required to supervise the work of Installers and Helpers.
- The Technician will be responsible for (if required):
- Surveying sites prior to installation
- Training and supervising subcontractors
- Booking in/out of Operations centre
- Testing and commissioning of systems to Operations centre
- Travel outside of the GTA may be required from time to time.
- Training of the end user
Courses/Certifications/Training
- Alarm Technician Level I and II Certificate or equivalent experience
- Commitment to upgrading and continuing their education
- Minimum of 3 years of security installation and/or service experience
- ULC knowledge a definite asset
- Must be computer literate and a good knowledge of operating systems
- Fluent English language written and verbal skills, demonstrated superior
- People and telephone skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential
- The ability to meet deadlines and commitments and to adjust/adapt to new ideas and procedures is necessary
- Assume Lead Role in installation crew; supervise junior techs and helpers
- Strong experience in DSC, NAPCO
- Fall Arrest Certificate
- Working At Heights Certificate

- Valid driver’s license with less than 2 demerit points
- Driver’s Abstract.
- Must be bondable – criminal record check required
